Everton (4-0-0) is coming off a 4-2 win over Brighton, while Liverpool (3-0-1) suffered its first loss of the season in a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa. In June, Everton and Liverpool last met in a match that ended in a 0-0 draw. Liverpool went on to win the Premier League title for 2019-20, snapping a drought of 30 years.
Liverpool will be fifth in the 2020-21 Premier League table at the start of Saturday, following a 3-0-0 start to the season with a blowout defeat to Aston Villa. Mohamed Salah was offensively off to a hot start with his five goals and two converted penalty kicks, despite the team conceding 11 goals during the first four games.
