Here’s how to install the latest Android 12
The stable version of the latest Android 12 is now available, following a lengthy developer preview period. The main goal of Android 12 is to make it “more intuitive, better performing, and secure,” according to Google.
While utilising a factory image is often the default way for manual installation, we strongly advise you to use OTA images instead. You’ll still have to install it manually, but utilising an OTA image avoids the need to wipe your device completely. Factory pictures, on the other hand, may be preferable if you’re a developer looking for the cleanest method. Before knowing how to install the latest Android 12 on your phone, let’s have a look at the things you must have beforehand.
Things You Need to get Started
♦ A Pixel 3 or later device, as well as a USB cable for connecting it to your computer
♦ Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5 are all compatible.
♦ The Android SDK was successfully installed on your PC, and the ADB and Fastboot commands were successfully executed.

Download the Files to Install the Latest Android 12
Before you begin, you must first download the proper file for your device. We recommend utilising OTA images instead of factory images because they are easier to use and allow you to maintain old files if you want to.
It’s also possible to use the full factory images (here), but this necessitates additional steps such as unlocking your bootloader and so on. We propose sideloading the OTA if you want to keep things simple. For this installation type, we created the following instructions.
Get Your Phone Ready
To deploy the OTA, you must reboot your phone into Recovery Mode after installing the file. Then you’ll be able to install Android 12 on your device.
♦ To begin, turn off your phone.
♦ Next, simultaneously press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons.
♦ The bootloader menu should now appear. Scroll down to Recovery Mode using the volume buttons.
♦ By pressing the power button, select Recovery Mode.
♦ An Android robot with an exclamation mark will be delivered to you. You’ll now hold down the power and volume up buttons for around a second.
♦ When you release the volume up button, you will enter complete recovery mode.
♦ Now, scroll down and press the volume buttons to apply the ADB update. To select the choice, press the power button.
♦ Finally, a blank screen will appear, instructing you on how to sideload an OTA.
