Packed up with the Rafters actress Jessica Marais was admitted to a Sydney hospital.

Amid news the 35-year-old actor was in health problems, emergency services were called to their eastern suburbs home about midday on Saturday amid.

As per the Daily Telegraph, two police vehicles and an ambulance arrived at the home before she was taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital emergency room in Randwick for testing.

NSW Police reported that they were assisting a 35-year-old woman but did not provide any further details.

A spokeswoman stated, “About midday today police ­attached to Eastern Beaches attended a unit in Beach St to assist NSW Ambulance with a 35-year-old female patient.”

Representatives of Marais could not be contacted for comment.

The incident was reportedly witnessed by multiple individuals, with one describing Marais as “clearly distressed”

“It was really hard to watch as she was in a really bad way,” the witness uncovered.

“They helped her down the stairs before putting her on the gurney in the ambulance … It was a hectic scene.”

Marais won the 2018 Logie for Most Popular Actress. She also featured on The Wrong Girl and Love Child, a popular TV series.

She was supposed to star in this year’s rebooted Packed to the Rafters show but left production unexpectedly in February citing “personal reasons”

“Jessica Marais has decided to step away from the new series Back to the Rafters for personal reasons,” stated in a statement from her management.

“She thanks everyone involved on the show for their ongoing support and love, especially her ‘Rafter’s family’, and sends them her very best wishes for the production.”

Marais also left her job on the Bad Mothers of Channel 9 in 2018 amid concern for her health.

Marais has spoken about her struggle with bipolar disorder before.

“There’s a history of bipolar in my family and I was diagnosed at one point with bipolar. I’ve had cognitive therapy training, so I choose not to be medicated,” she informed The Australian Women’s Weekly in 2014. Marais has a daughter aged seven years, Scout.
