Jadon Sancho, a Dortmund winger, is a step closer to making his move to Manchester United after agreeing to personal terms for a transfer to Old Trafford. The 20-year-old has made it known to Dortmund that he would like to return to England this summer and for the last 18 months, United has led the way for the winger ‘s signature.
Dortmund held firm over the former Manchester City ace ‘s £ 108 m valuation and looks likely to get their asking price after United intimated their willingness to pay the amount in three installments.
Negotiations with Jadon Sancho were deemed a formality despite the midfielder’s willingness to move to the Theater of Dreams but, according to the Sun, he ‘s set to become one of the Premier League’s top earners on a £220,000-a-week wage.
Dortmund wants the deal to be concluded over the next 10 days, and United hopes that by the end of the week it will be at the club.
Alexis Sanchez is expected to join Inter Milan on a free transfer as United has overlooked a fee to discharge the Chilean.
Sanchez’s £500,000-a-week pay, both to United as well as to interested parties, have proven prohbile.
Funds have been released with Sanchez out the door, however, and Sancho is expected to benefit from landing a massive wage rise.
Jadon Sancho is also expected to take the Chilean and United No.7 jersey, aiming to reverse the fortunes of former owners like Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay and Michael Owen.
Upon completion of Sancho ‘s transfer, United must concentrate its efforts on signing a center-back and a central midfielder.
Captain Jack Grealish of Aston Villa is a priority, but Metro.co.uk reports that United is reluctant to pay the £75 m asking price of the club because they value it at £55 m.
